Speaker: Dr. Harmet Daljitsingh Walia

The Saudi Endodontic Society held its 10 th monthly scientific activity on May 03, 2012 at the Riyadh Security force hospital "Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz auditorium". Dr. Harmeet D. Walia was the main speaker. He is an Endodontist and inventor. He introduced the use of nickel titanium shape memory alloy for the manufacture of root canal files, which had traditionally been made of carbon or stainless steel. Dr. Walia received the prestigious Ralph F. Sommer Award in recognition for his work from the American Association of Endodontists in 2005. Now, he is working in Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization, dental clinics, department of Endodontics.
The presentation was attended by several Endodontist, GP and Endodontic postgraduate residents.
